The Film

"The Blind and the Dead" film takes place in the present day with a 90 year flashback.

Backstory:

1981, Isabelle was born to Samuel Black and Julia Wentworth. At the age of 4, Isabelle's father, a failed writer and a drunk, ran off, never to be seen again. From 1985 to 1994, the blind Isabelle was all alone, kept hidden away. To her, it was if she was constantly being punished for just being alive. Thus, she wanted to be dead. Over time, Isabelle Black began to created bizarre things in her mind. An unholy anger festered deep within her. Isabelle's dark world became a world for the twisted.

Isabelle's mother, Julia, simply could not handle the responsibility of taking care of a blind child by herself. Added to that was the cost of having a private teacher for Isabelle, her husband running off, the endless heated battles with Isabelle. Julia Wentworth Grimm had reached her breaking point.

On New Year's Eve 1994, she went into Isabelle's dark and bizarre room and blew her brains out right in front of Isabelle. Julia was standing so near Isabelle, that her brain matter splattered all over Isabelle's face.

Thirteen years later. Inside the great house known as Grimm Manor, Isabelle now 26, has invented her own room of make-believe, and in this room, any and all things become real. Isabelle's cruel mother is long dead. Unfortunately for the adopted Isabelle, her eldest sister, Kate Grimm, is just as cruel, even more so. To Isabelle, Grimm Manor over time, has become her tomb. Her world is bleak and lonely.

Isabelle longed for a purpose in life. She believed in nothing, nor did she have the capacity to love. She only knew hate. But one day, the impossible became possible. An unholy vampire, seductive and with purpose, arrived at the great house. And Isabelle soon discovers that her fate is not unalterable."
